Wij komen hier zonder enige twijfel terug!”

“We stayed at La Douce France for two weeks in June (‘Toddler month’) and had a fantastic time! The grounds are really well maintained, and the tents and gîtes are really far apart, we hardly noticed other guests were even there. About four times a week the cooking is done for you if you join the ‘table d’hôte’, which I would highly recommend. Our daughter had a great time eating and playing with the other children – which meant we were able to enjoy the abundant three course meals that Ruben and Chrissy prepare. A variety of cuisines passed in the two weeks we were there: Italian, French, Lebanese, etc. Especially the Lebanese kitchen seems to be a passion for Ruben, who prepared a spectacular feast for us, followed by a classic desert (‘crêpe suzette’) by Chrissy, who truly is a desert queen. I will not spoil too much of the surprise by listing the entire menu, but I can say it was always delicious (even for a vegetarian!). Besides the lovely table d’hôtes, Chrissy and Ruben organize some nice activities for the children a few times a week and send you nice suggestions on what to do depending on the weather etc. On the grounds there is a pool that is more than sufficient for the limited amount of guests, and it looks out on a horse and mule :) Besides the pool, there are two playgrounds that are well maintained and quite big. We stayed in a gîte (La Bohème) and were really surprised at the level of comfort (good price-value). It must be about 50m2, has two bedrooms, a gorgeous bathroom and a great big kitchen with loads of storage space. The décor is both stylish and cosy. And last but not least, you have a big deck with French doors where you spend most of your vacation on lounge beds. In short: we give our stay a great big five out of five!”
